Famke Janssen kehrt in X-Men 3 in ihre Rolle als Jean Grey/Phoenix zurück, James Marsden alias Cyclops wird aber nicht mehr dabei sein, da er die Rolle von Perry Whites Sohn in der neuen Superman Verfilmung angenommen hat.
Bin mal gespannt, ob die Rolle neu besetzt wird. Ist ja nciht so, als hätte Marsden in X2: X-Men United was zu tun gehabt (AFAIK hatt der noch weniger Screen Time als Halle Berry/Storm), aber Cyke ist irgendwo zu wichtig, um ihn aussen vor zulassen.

It's already been bought and everyone is into it, everyone likes the story. If things happen the way I want it to happen, that will be the cover... Spider-Man taking off his mask, and saying 'Mr. Jameson, Peter Parker is Spider-Man.'

Comixfan: That will certainly drastically change the Spidey-verse...

Krueger: Well, you'll have to see it to believe it, but I'm really proud of it, and I think there are things in it that for the Spider-Man mythos, and for the Spider-Man origin, and how Peter Parker relates to all the people in his life- that he has kept his identity secret to protect them- I think that there are things that are said in here that are so important, and so vital to his character, that I will really be excited to see it out there, and to see what people think.

Now, there are things that I am not giving away, and how it affects the Spider-Man mythos, you're to have to read the whole story to get, but it's not like an imaginary story, not like he dreams of revealing his identity, he really does it, and Jameson totally... well, [Parker] does it, what happens after that is stuff for other writers in the future. But the way it happens, Marvel is very excited about.

And I can't reveal yet, but I've got a bunch of new things going on at Marvel too.

Ja, ursprünglich sollte es ein komplettes Spoiler-Verbot geben, deswegen wurde der Thread gelöscht. Dann hat sich der König aber zu einem Spoiler-Thread überreden lassen.

6) Do the present day scenes in Secret War take place between Avengers Finale and New Avengers 1? Upon rereading Secret War 3, I noticed Cap only calls for Iron Man when the tech villians attack, not the rest of the Avengers.

7) You've probably answered this elsewhere, but I'll ask anyway. Logan and Peter disclosed their identities to one another in that Spider-Man/Wolverine story where Ned Leeds got killed. In Secret War 2, was Logan just messing with Peter on the plane, acting like he'd never seen him out of costume? Was he too drunk? Something else?

8 ) I notice a lot of similarities between Spidey's unmasking/beating in Marvel Knights Spider-Man and his unmasking/beating in New Avengers 2. Did you and Mark Millar coordinate this as a thematic plot device to get Peter to move into Avengers Tower down the road? Or did you both just feel like abusing Peter?

I know you said that Wanda was unconsciously affecting the behaviour of many of the characters, which is why they weren't acting like themselves. Was this supposed to be another example of that?

1. Rumor has it Daredevil will make an appearance soon. Since Joe Q. recently said there's pretty much no chance for an Ultimate Daredevil ongoing, Will you please do some real kick ass story with him. I mean people are hateing him because of how he treats USM. I think it's one of the coolest aspects of the story. USM gets no respect from the other heroes. But I'd really like to see this relationship explored more. I'd really like more Ultimate Daredevil in a role where people will say "yeah, that was fuckin' awesome". Just like your Marvel Knights: Daredevil. I know you got love for him Bendis, make it happen.

2. MoonKnight. Is he going to view Spider-Man as a punk like the rest of the Ultimate Heroes do? How much ultimizing does his origins/backstory need? Is he gonna be older than a college aged boy?

Do you have any desire to produce non-superhero comics for Marvel?

Just throwing this out there, but I think it would be cool if you would spearheard an anthology through Max or Icon as an outlet for you and your pals' other interests . For example, If Bru and Lark feel like doing a "scene of the crime" story, but they don't want to give up their "day job" comics, they can do it 8 pages at a time over 3 or 4 issues. If you come up with some short noir or Fortune and Glory stuff that you want to draw, you can do it this way and it won't completely destroy your schedule. You can even do a flipbook. Established pro's in the front, deserving up and comers in the back. This way, great indies like Josh's Elk's Run actually get published without him having to beg in the streets. And comics you want more people to read get some mainstream exposure. It won't be Marvels top seller, to say the least, but they could get a credibility boost from it. If they care about shit like that anyway...

Doing this would in all likelyhood force you to drop at least one monthly, but I think it would be fucking awesome. Very proactive towards molding the direct market to what you think it could be. Well, at least one step towards it. You could even publish stuff from Goddard The Golden Boy, cause you know he's the shit... well, what do you think?

THIS IS A GOOD IDEA, BUT BRU AND LARK DON’T NEED ME TO GET PUBLISHED AND ANTHOLOGIES, THOUGH THEY OFTEN PRODUCE GREAT WORK, OFTEN PRODUCE SHIT WORK AND END UP FAILING FINANCIALLY.

My favorite C-list Avenger is Rage. He gets no respect. Kicked off the team for lying about his age, I don't think he even made it into Disassembled. I think it's time to bring him back and redeem him. Any chance of him showing up in New Avengers? I'd love to see him interact with Luke Cage.

oh, after lots of discussion and deliberation, we have made a choice on powers and i hope you'll see its for the best.

we have decided, as of powers 10, which ships very soon, to upgrade the paper stock. we loved the pulp look but the ink was sinking into the paper too much. it just wasn't the effect we were hoping for. so we just decided to go an entirely different direction.

as of issue 10, powers will have the same format and paper stock as most marvel knights books. like daredevil and mk spidey.

no extra charge of cover price change.

Oeming über Tales of Asgard:

Tales of Asgard is a follow up to the ending of Thor and Beta Ray Bill, I am writing a 6 issue "classic Thor" story for Marvel drawn by Scott Kollins called Tales of Asgard.

Thor and the Warriors Three journey to recover mystical objects returning Thor to his classic roots, we'll see a fight with the Absorbing man, good old Donald Blake and Jane foster, and most of our Asgardian cast. This will be a great hold over for Thor fans between the ending of Beta Ray Bill and the relaunch of Thor.

"Art monkey; Wrist-for-hire; Have pencil-will travel--- there's a ton of [terms for artist]. But I think these terms stem from the fact that the trend has been for quite a while now that the 'vision' for the comic book is strictly that of the writer, and the art team is simply there to make that vision real on paper. The 'Marvel method' of creating comics has gone the way of the Dodo, really. All scripts done for Marvel are now, like at DC, done in full-script form, so unless the writer is feeling generous enough to bring the penciler in on the initial writing of the story (and there's little or none of that happening), then the penciler is relegated to the status of 'flunky', in my humble opinion. And for someone like me, who spent his childhood writing and drawing his own stories-- and who has been in a very collaborative relationship on a creator-owned project as I was with Todd Dezago on Tellos, it's a bitter pill to swallow to have to return to being relegated to nothing more than (fill in the blank with any of the aforementioned terms). Frankly, it's taken much of the joy of drawing comics out of the process for me."

Hatte mich verlesen. Es ging um den Schlagstock, den Kate da am Bein hat. Hatte Bobby auch. Ausserdem soll Kate wohl den Gürtel der Black Widow tragen, was bei Newsarama jemanen zu der Vermutung gebracht hat, daß sie sich in der Avengers Mansion alle möglichen Waffen zusammenklaubt, nachdem sie angegriffen werden. I screwed the pooch big time on this one, Chief.

I basically bit off more than I can chew with Shanna, Zombie King and cover gigs. I'm drawing every day without a break to catch up and finish out Liberty Meadows #37 (Just need to write and draw 20 more strips) but it ain't happening until this summer.

But fear not Liberty Meadows will return in a big way later this year. Besides Shanna, Zombie King, etc, I'm putting together Liberty Meadows 4th collection book (Cold Cold Heart) and Liberty Meadows Big Fat Sunday strip collection book. Both of them will not be solicited until it's 100% finished and in the can so there's no more delays.

Bei Nightcrawler stört mich, das die ganze Serie so mystisch angehaucht ist. Dabei erscheint mir Nightcrawler einfach nicht als die passende Figur für solche Stories. Klar:
Seine Freundin ist die Herrscherin über das Limbo, und sein Vater scheint eine Art Teufel zu sein. (Gott wie ich diese Story-arc hasse! Übelster Mist!)
Aber: Nightcrawler ist immer noch ein Mutant. Wenn ich was von Magie oder Mystik lesen will, schnappe ich mir die aktuelle Strange Serie.
Im Prinzip kaufe ich mir die Serie nur noch wegen Darick Robertson, dessen Zeichnungen allererste Sahne sind.

In the latest Wizard, JMS mentions that Supreme Power will relaunch under the Marvel Knights banner with a new #1 in Feb of '06. In the meantime he talks about what is going on until end the MAX title. I already love this title, but his plans have me even more excited. There is also mention of two new Supremeverse minis coming out. Hyperion by JMS (September) and Nighthawk by Daniel Way, artist are still TBD.

1.Millars exklusiv Vertrag läuft im August bei Marvel aus, dann wird er Millarworld 2 schreiben, vor einer Zeit hatte Millar gesagt es seien 4 Titel, 2 davon wurden über Icon laufen, 1 Dark Horse und 1 Top Cow, letztens hatte Millar jedoch gesagt es wären bloss zwei, bei ihm wiess man wohl nie, Millarworld 2 fertig kehrt er zu Marvel zurück, jedoch bedeutet das nicht dass es bis dahin keine Millarcomics gibt, denn der 12teilige UFF wird wohl bis Juli nächstes Jahres gehen und Millar schreibt momentan auch noch an der Origin des Ultimativen Cap, eine Mini-serie mit Steve Mcniven die Ende des Jahres rauskommen soll

Dat ist ja beim Hulk nicht sooo viel. Der komplette David-Run und dann Jones (minus die letzten zwei Arcs und Hard Knocks).

Bin ich froh, wenn Millar weg ist. Obwohl das ja heisst, daß Bendis einen noch grösseren Output machen muss, nämlich den Teil, den sonst Millar zugeschustert bekommen hätte - gibt ja keine anderen Autoren, als die 3WF (Bendis, Millar, Straczynski). :D ;)

Da gibt es ja einige Autoren, von denen wir nur hoffen können, dass sie mehr Marvel Serie übernehmen: Vaughan, Kirkman, Slott, Ellis.

cool experience. they asked me what i thought would be a nice present for the troops, and being as we get more mail from them than you could believe, i sold them on just doing a brand new stand alone issue of NA. a free, brand new issue, no politics, no message other than we're thinking of you. just marvel fun.

ff and NA find a lost kree ship. fighting ensues. you cannot buy this. you cannot sell this. but there are tons and tons of them, so if you find one oood for you, if you can't, it is not a continuity issue.

Wer hat das gesagt? Obwohl er seit Romitas Abgang planlos herumirrt oder in Peters Vergangenheit sitzen geblieben ist, wird er sicherlich die nächste Zeit noch bei ASM bleiben, da er laut tony Lee zu sehr mit Supreme power,ASM und FF beschäftigt ist um sich um B5 Comics zu kümmern und da nichts aus dem Babylon 5 film wurde hat er auch viel Zeit

Bei den Verkaufszahlen wär man doof man würde es nicht tun, es gab ja nichts von AoA was sich nicht bombastisch verkauft hat und das alles in einem Monat, da haben einige fast 30$ alleine im Monat nur für AoA ausgegeben und ich war für einmal nicht dabei :p

Wenn bei DC eine #1 trotz oberprinting ausverkauft it, heben die für die nachfolgenden Nummern die Auflage an - Marvel lässt sie gleich, um dann voller Stolz ein Variantcover zu präsentieren.

Aber das dieser Clint Barton nicht konsequent sein kann, ist ja hinlänglich bekannt, wollte er die NA doch ursprünglich garnicht kaufen.

FF war bis auf ein paar Aussetzer (Frightful Four) göttlich. Ansonsten habe ich von dem auch noch nicht so viel gelesen - Avengers (naja, aber eh nur drei hefte), Captain America (teils gut, teils schwache Gruenwald-Kopie), Deadpool (meh), JLA (gut bis sehr gut) und Ruse (gut bis grottenschlecht)

Hmmm, und warum kam Marvel überhaupt erst auf die Idee, den Markt mit "mehr als bescheidenen Comics" zu überschwemmen ??

Eben, weil der Sammel-Markt 'ne zeitlang eben jeden Mist aufgenommen hat, wo #1 oder variant-tralala draufstand ...
Als dieser dann aber einbrach, war der Lese-Markt schon lange weg.

Und wie gesagt diskutieren, gerne. Allerdings ist es keine Dikussionen wenn man anderen Postern vorwirft sie seien nicht ganz Gescheid oder ihnen absprichst sie könnten mit ihrem Geld nicht machen was sie wollen.

Lies doch nochmal, ich habe mich VA über Clints Inkonsequenz amüsiert und habe geschrieben, dass ich es bescheuert finde, für irgendwelche Variants Mondpreise zu bezahlen.
Was irgendwer mit ihrer/seiner Kohle macht, ist mir herzlich egal.

Das denke ich auch. Habe selbst er wieder mit Marvel vor gut 3 Jahren angefangen. Allerdings finde ich auch das die besten Comics momentan von Marvel kommen. Was bei DC rauskommt ist nur von den "Spezial Lables" wie Vertigo: Y-The Last Man, Hellblazer, Fables... Wildstorm: Sleeper, Authority... lesenswert. Das klassische DC Universum bietet aus meiner Sicht nichts interessantes. Und nicht das ich da nichts ausprobiert hätte.

Und viel mehr andere Alternativen gibt es ja nicht. CrossGen ist tot. Image bietet auch nicht viel gutes (in lezter Zeit hat mich nur Ultra, Walking Dead, und seit langem wieder Witchblade und Darkness begeistert). Und bei den Indie Verlägen was kann man da lesen Queen & Country, Blue Monday bei Oni. Ab und zu mal was von Warren Ellis bei Avatar.

Mit den "klassischen" SH-Universen habe ich nie soviel am Hut gehabt, hab lange den ganzen X-Kram gelesen, bis zu reload, dann wurde es mir zu retro.
DC hat wenigstens noch Vertigo & WS, dagegen sieht Icon doch sehr dünn aus...

Von Image gefällt mir Small Gods ziemlich gut.
Und wirklich klasse war Demo von AiT/PlanetLar.
Bei den beiden erscheint dann ab und an auch mal 'ne OGN, die mir gefällt.
Lese eigentlich gerne abgeschlossene Geshcichten.

Lange Geschichte und schwer zu erklären, mini Resumee
Habe Lark noch nie persöhnlich kennengelernt, erst seit letztem Sonntag diskutierten wir übers Netz über verchiedene Dinge und viele Gemeinsamkeiten haben und uns gut verstanden haben

Er hat mich nicht gefragt, sondern vor 2 Tagen auf dem Bendisboard gefragt wer der Idiot sei der Logansfrisur entworfen hat, wie immer endet sowas im Chaos, gestern nachmittag(für ihn morgens) wusste er immer noch nicht weiter, wollte Wolverine dann eine 80er Frisur verpassen http://www.mulletshirts.com/i/mmmullet.jpg , zum Glück bekamen wir ihn noch überredet , ich bot einen kurzen Haarschnitt an mit den Spitzen nach vorn, einem Vollbart und Bren Andersons Wolvie Hemd das echt mies aussah durch ein typisches kanadisches zu ersetzen. Dann am frühen Morgen meldete sich Lark dass er meine Version angenommen hat, und er an dem Tage 3 Seiten gezeichnet habe, leider könne er sie nicht posten da Marvel es nicht erlaube, jedoch hat er jenes Panel gescannt und mir die 3 Seiten dann versprochen :)

Man solle sich jedoch nicht wundern wenn The Pulse sich wieder verspätet ;)

ellis hatte jedoch damals als Nightmare sich so verspätete auf MW(was Rob helmerichs gerade bestätigte) gesagt dass Secret fertig gezeichnet hat.

Auf www.x-mencomics.com/xfan gibt es ein Interview mit David Hine, wo er sagt, das District X mit der #14 zu Ende geht. Mutopia X wird wohl eine Art Nachklang sein.
Um ehrlich zu sein empfinde ich das jetzt nicht als großen Verlust. Die Serie fing stark an, wurde aber ab der #6 immer miserabler, mit unglaubwürdigen Charakterentwicklungen. Manchmal habe ich bei der Serie das Gefühl, das David Hine zuviel schlechte Soaps sieht. (Falls es überhaupt so etwas wie gute Soaps gibt!)

Bendis und Maleev werden nach ihrem DD-Run keine neue Ongoing mehr übernehmen, sondern wie das Loeb/Sale Duo nur noch Minis zu verschiedenen Charakteren, bekannt wurde noch keine, jedoch hat Maleev letzte Woche ein geniales Elektra Bild gezeichnet und es war keine Komission.

I can't figure out why the creative staff at Marvel suddenly has such a disdain for the Avengers...(ranting about Visison and Scarlet Witch)
Also, why is Jessica Jones in this book? I haven't read all 503 issues of Avengers , but I'm pretty sure that she never appeared, or was ever mentioned for that matter, depite her supposed continuity. It's insulting that the creation of the man who destroyed the Avengers is featured so prominently in a book that is supposed to be based on the Avengers continuity. There are other characters with actual ties to the Avengers who could have been used in that role.
Considering her book didn't sell as well as the Avengers did even at its worst, it's certainly not to attract new readers(...ranting about my beloved X-23 and that latin gal Arana) .
This is a book I'd normally like, but as long as it's being used to glorify Bendis ruining the classic Avengers, I'll be spending my money elsewhere.
