Fist of the North Star Manga Reprint to Add New Chapter

Tokuma Shoten is republishing Buronson and Tetsuo Hara's Fist of the North Star manga in an "Ultimate Edition" that will include a new chapter. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the manga's original magazine launch, the Ultimate Edition will reissue the manga in 18 volumes, starting with two volumes on September 20. Hara is drawing exclusive new cover illustrations for this edition, and all of the color pages from the original magazine run will be reproduced.

In addition, the 11th Ultimate Edition volume will include a new chapter about Kenshirō and Black King a few years after Raoh's death.

Fans who collect a ticket from all 18 volumes will be able to receive a reprinted key illustration. Fans will be able to choose the illustration from one of five designs.

Buronson and Hara's original post-apocalyptic fighting manga first ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1983 to 1988.

199X wurde die Zivilisation durch einen weltweiten Atomkrieg nahezu ruiniert. Da die Welt größtenteils zur Einöde wurde suchen die Überlebenden in nun einer Welt ohne Recht und Ordnung sondern in welcher der Starke über den schwachen herrscht am meisten nach Nahrung und Wasser bzw versuchen sich diese als Bauern für ihre Familien wieder herzustellen.

In dieser Welt lebt auch ein junger Mann namens Kenshiro der ein Schüler der Kampfart Hokuto Shinken ist mit seiner Verlobten Yuria. Doch durch Neid , Missgunst und Eifersucht seiner Freunde wird Kenshiro verraten und vermeintlich getötet und als er Wiederkehrt muss er sich auf die Suche nach Yuria machen die seitdem verschwunden ist.

Während seiner Suche stellt er fest das inzwischen auch andere ehemalige Kampfart Schüler nun nur noch ihre eigenen Ziele verfolgen was Kenshiro auch in ziemliche Probleme bringen kann.

Kenshiro ist ein cooler badass dessen Abenteuer sich von heutigen Shonen Fighting Werken durch das fehlen der teilweise unnötigen Comedy abhebt.

Es ist eine Geschichte um Liebe , Freundschaft und Ehre aber auch die Einsamkeit und ich hoffe das sich ich die heutigen Shonen Fans neben Dragonball , one Piece oder Naruto usw zumindest mal ansehen in der Hoffnung eines Tages ihn doch noch auch mal komplett auf Deutsch zu haben.

Fist of the North Star Gets 2nd New Chapter in Comic Zenon

Tetsuo Hara and Buronson will publish a bonus new Fist of the North Star chapter in the May issue of Monthly Comic Zenon magazine on March 25. The chapter follows Kenshirō and Black King a few years after Raoh's death, and it will also be included in the 11th volume of the "Extreme Edition" reprint.

The May issue will also include a special chapter of Fist of the North Star by writer Yūshi Kawata and artist Yukito and the first chapter of Gifū Dōdō!! Naoe Kanetsugu -Maeda Keiji Hana-gatari, the final series in Tetsuo Hara and Nobuhiko Horie's story about samurai Maeda Keiji.
