Having served in combat for the United States, Da Wardenz are out for one thing -- justice. This anti-terrorist tank force was conceived after an ill-fated campaign at Mostvia Vatska in 1994. Coming under heavy fire, the troops sent a distress signal to the U.S. Intelligence requesting immediate backup. The government turned their backs on the Special Forces unit by making them expendable and refusing to send in backup. As a result, five men survived; those five men formed Da Wardenz.
Here's where you come into play. Assuming the role of a rookie commando, your mission is simple: prove yourself to Da Wardenz by destroying terrorist forces and rectifying global corruption. Easy, huh? That's not all -- you'll be in command of an M-13 Predator battle tank; this thing can mow down forests and calm any terrorist dispute. Along the way, you can upgrade your tank in armaments and shielding.
Shellshock is broken into two parts: The Pen and actual mission objectives. As Da Wardenz headquarters, The Pen has all sorts of locations including the main hangar, basketball court, simulation room, workshop area, briefing area, and various lockers. Before a mission, you'll want to explore the headquarters and interact with each member of the team; you may learn something. When you're ready to kick some terrorist butt, you'll simply walk to the tank area and hop in!
Played from a first-person perspective, the 3D action sequences take place in real-time. With 25 dangerous missions to complete, you'll visit exotic locations including Paraguay and Mostvia Vatska. Unfortunately, there will be no sight seeing on this trip as terrorists will come at you in full force. You'll have to deal with heavy tanks, Armored Personnel Carriers, gunboats and helicopter gunships; needless to say, this won't be a Sunday walk through the park.
Fortunately, the M-13 Predator can utilize a multitude of weapons including a 240mm M257 cannons, 60mm M23I chain-guns, and deadly SAM missiles that lock onto air targets. In the workshop area, you can increase your tank's armor, add weapons and install chain-gun coolants, reload mechanisms, better targeting computers, traction, offensive air support, and engine upgrades.
Shellshock is for one-player and includes an original, hardcore hip-hop soundtrack provided by William Floyd...but you can call him Bar None. Can you prove yourself to The Man, Earshot, D-Tour, Props, Dogg-Tag, and 9-1-1? Da Wardenz are counting on you, so don't screw this up!

Damals bekam ich ne Saturn-Demo in die Hand wo "Shellshock" drauf war, ich glaube, der gesamte erste Level war drauf enthalten. Ich habe das Game geliebt. Und die Demo immer und immer wieder gespielt, bis ich nicht mehr konnte. Auf der PlayStation habe ich mir dann die US-Version [ in der großen Plastikverpackung, die damals üblich war ] gekauft. "Shellshock" könnte ich heute noch spielen, schön wärs wenn das für die Wii kommen würde. Wenn man so in dem Panzer sitzt und aus der Ego-Perspektive alle anderen Panzer platt macht, war das absolut nervenaufreibend [ positiver Natur selbstverständlich ] und spaßig zugleich. Ne eingeschränkte Sicht, aber dafür ein Radar und fiese wie flinke Gegner. Auch so ein Spiel, das mit viel Spielspaß ausgestattet ist :)
