The main non-mutant character in the story is Kouta, who ends up becoming increasingly involved with these dicloniuses, as they seek refuge from the scientists.

The main diclonius character is Lucy/Nyuu a killer whose alter ego is a hapless, and very cute child whose vocabulary and intelligence is quite limited.

After a large amount of choice occurrences the lives of these two characters becomes inexplicably intertwined.

Banana Fish zählte seiner Zeit zu eine der erfolgreichsten Shojo-Serien Japans. Und das ganz ohne Kulleraugen und Glieder in Überlänge, die für dieses Genre so typisch sind. Darum fand die Serie auch bei dem männlichen Lesern hohen Anklang. Leider scheint auch genau das der Grund zu sein, wieso der Erfolg außerhalb Japans sehr gering war. Wenn die Zeichnungen nicht passen, wird der Manga gleich zu den Ablagen gelegt, dabei hat die Geschichte es wirklich in sich. Man muss auch bedenken: Der Erfolg der Serie kam sicherlich nicht von alleine

Würde ich sehr gerne mal lesen. Leider ist die Serie außerhalb Japans noch nicht erschienen. Jedenfalls in keiner mir verständlichen Sprache.
