Einigen dürfte mittlerweile der Kickstarter von Anime Limited zu Patema Inverted aufgefallen sein. Leider kann man nur aus UK, Belgien, Niederlanden, Frankreich und Schweiz, offiziell an dem Kickstarter teilnehmen.

Allerdings gibt es für uns auch eine Möglichkeit den Kickstarter zu unterstützen. Anime-On-line.com (MVMs Online Shop) hat sich bereit erklärt als "Mail Proxy" zu fungieren, d.h. wir können ihre UK Adresse für den Kickstarter benutzen und sie schicken die Box an uns weiter. Natürlich machen sie das nicht aus der reinen Güte ihres Herzens, sondern verlangen eine Gebühr + Versandkosten. Wer Interesse an der "Patema Inverted Ultimate Edition" hat sollte Anime-On-line mal eine Mail schreiben "Subject: Patema Inverted Kickstarter" (geht über "Contact us" von der oben verlinkten Webseite) und dann geben Sie euch die genaueren Details.

Das Ganze lohnt sich nur dann, wenn man die "Ultimate Edition" UNBEDINGT haben will. Die "Standard Edition" und "Collector's Edition" wird auch später regulär im Handel (z.B. Amazon) verfügbar sein. Das ganze sollte natürlich nicht auf den offiziellen Seiten von Anime Limited (Facebook, Kickstarter) diskutiert werden.

Der Kickstarter startet morgen um 17 Uhr (britische Zeit) also ca. 18 Uhr bei uns.

Here We Go! Patema Inverted Kickstarter Is A Go

Well! That was an interesting first 24 hours! Thank you all so much for your support and generosity that saw us smash our own Kickstarter record and fund the Definitive Edition of Patema Inverted in 5 hours. We are all still in pleasant shock! We're so happy that you all are as enthusiastic and loving of Patema Inverted as we are. We're huge fans and we're glad that you are too.
So, where to begin? I have to admit, you all took us a wee bit by surprise so we apologise for the slight tardiness of this update. But you'll be happy to hear, we've got plenty to share. Are you paying attention? Good. Then I'll begin.

What, exactly, is on the discs?

Many of you have been asking about the spec of the discs and exactly what is included with this release. Besides the feature film itself, on blu-ray and DVD, there are a number of on-disc extras, such as:
- Greetings from the stage of the video premiere at the Tokyo International Film Festival
- Interview with Fujii Yukiyo (Patema), Okamoto Nobuhiko (Age) & Yoshiura Yasuhiro (Director)
- Copy notice
- Imagine the world inverted? A collection of scenes from Patema's perspective.
- Audio commentary by the Japanese cast.

Audio on disc:
- English dub – 5.1 track
- French audio – 5.1 track
- Japanese audio – 5.1 track

Subtitles:
- English subtitles
- French subtitles

Stretch Goals

Yep - we've got some pretty interesting ideas in the realm of extras and stretch goals for this campaign. We have two major stretch goals that we think will make this THE definitive edition of the film. But we have been reading and listening to all your comments, both on our Kickstarter page and via the Anime Limited Twitter and Facebook page. Therefore, we're working on some mini-stretch goals that will add even more value to your copy of Patema Inverted.

Stretch Goal 1- Specially Commissioned Illustration at £25,000.
For our first stretch goal, we would like to commission a one-off design by the original character designer Ryusuke Chayama to make the box art even more unique! This means, a unique Patema Inverted Kickstarter Definitive Edition release only - not available outside this Kickstarter!
We've already got the commission lined up and and already agreed the fee required to make this happen. So now all we need is to hit the first stretch goal of £25,000 and it's in the bag!

Stretch Goal 2 - Patema Inverted Soundtrack at £40,000.
Our second stretch goal for Patema Inverted is another big one - we would love to add the film's soundtrack for all backers of the Kickstarter campaign! Unlike with Mai Mai Miracle, we've already begun moving to get this on the table as a guaranteed stretch goal. The only thing left for us to do now is agree the numbers and find out who, exactly, we have to clear the OST with (boring detail from Andrew: there may be a deal ongoing with a music company we know well in Europe, so we're just making sure A) If that is the case and B) If it is the case then if we go via them for final detail or the licensor in Japan).
We've already done the costs and calculations and we know we can offer the Patema Inverted soundtrack if we hit our second stretch goal of £40,000.
And don't forget: these are stretch goals we know we can offer! If you believe the one-of-a-kind illustration and the soundtrack puts the Definitive in Definitive Edition, then help us reach these stretch goals!

Mini Stretch Goals:
We're already considering the addition of some mini/milestone stretch goals - such as backer targets, etc that will reward backers and help add value to the release. We've got a few ideas in mind but we need to clear things with the licensor in Japan. We will have more on these in the next week or so. With the mini stretch goals, we will, as with Mai Mai Miracle, put options out there for you all to vote on - so you get a say in what, exactly, you think adds value to your copy of Patema Inverted.

We've Got Some More News For You!


Happy Bank Holiday Weekend everyone! We hope you are all out and enjoying yourselves this lovely bank holiday weekend. As for us, there is no rest for the wicked so instead, we're bringing you a whole bunch of new news that we hope you'll enjoy. Some of you have been asking some questions which I'll also answer in the post below. Shall we get on with it? I think so

What's going to be included with the mini stretch goals? Can you include the original OVAs?

Well, with regards to the mini stretch goals we've got quite a few ideas in mind which we will firm up and announce later on in the week. However, we're also keen to hear what YOU would like to have included. If any of those are feasible and there is plenty of support, we'll see what we can do. But to begin with, we've got some pretty nifty ideas that we think you'll appreciate.
The OVAs - ah yes! Quite a few of you have asked about whether or not we can include the OVAs with this release. Well, all I can say is that we are looking at adding video materials to the release and are definitely investigating adding the OVAs.

A brief note from Andrew: Given they're actually the first parts of the feature movie broken up into bite-sized chunks for promotion, it's both about if it makes sense to the licensor and from a space-wise on the disc vs other extras. There is little more we can add to this just now but please keep an eye out for announcements and information when available

Will you add more backer tiers?

Unlike the Mai Mai Miracle Kickstarter, we do have a lot more flexibility with this campaign - along the lines of the Time of Eve Kickstarter campaign. We're currently crunching some numbers and looking at offering additional tiers that backers and non-backers will find rather intriguing. So, short answer: yes! We're looking into it and expect to have some news for you soon!

Great! Anything else?

You better believe it! We're looking into creating 'tier top ups' - giving backers an opportunity to add goodies to their backer tier that we think will add value to your copy of Patema Inverted. Again, these will be limited to this Kickstarter campaign ONLY and will not be available outside it. We're crunching numbers as I type and we should have some details for you by the end of the week.

English Dub Cast for Patema Inverted Announced Right Here!




I hope you all are enjoying your bank holiday Monday! We've got some more exciting news in today's update! A lot of you have been asking about the English dub - is the dub included? Will it be a stretch goal? What is the cast of the English dub? We answer all these questions and more below!

So, first things first - yes! The English and French dubs are included in this release. This is already in the early stages of production so no, we will not be using Kickstarter to fund it. We've already gone ahead ourselves so that will not be a stretch goal.

Will the extra video content discussed as possible stretch goals be tier-specific?

Nope. Any additional video content we source, add or create with this Kickstarter campaign - be it stretch goals or add ons - will be included in all the tiers. So whether you backed the £16 amaray release or the fancy pants definitive edition, everyone will have the extra video content on their copies!

Day 4 of the Patema Inverted Kickstarter brings you some more interesting and exciting news! I know it sounds kinda cheesy when companies say they are listening to YOUR requests and demands, but it's true in our case. What am I talking about? Well....

We heard you all loud and clear - many people have asked if we could offer a PayPal option to back our Patema Inverted Kickstarter so we looked into making this happen. It's Golden Week in Japan, But We Have Some News For You!

As we edge ever nearer to meeting our first stretch goal of £25,000 (for a commissioned piece of artwork for the boxset), we're looking at ways to add even more value to your pledge!

We here at Anime Limited HQ have pulled together quite the list, which has been sent off to Japan for approvals/agreement from the licensor. The reason we've not had an update on this for all you dear backers yet is that it is Golden Week in Japan! Lucky them Golden Week, for those of you unaware of the term, is a week of official holidays in which many companies shut up shop and employees have a nice, long holiday!

One of the major items we're investigating is creating a special tier that includes the Definitive Edition, Quad and a merch pack! As we prepare to make our offer to the licensor, what we want to know is, would you guys like the merch items listed below as part of that tier?

£125 Merch Tier includes:

• Definitive Edition of Patema Inverted and all that comes with it
• Quad poster
• Limited Edition Kickstarter-only tote bag with Patema Inverted image + logo (design tbc)
• Limited Edition Kickstarter-only Patema Inverted mug

What else is going on?

As we mentioned in yesterday's update, we've opened up the option for would-be backers to pledge to the Ultimate Edition of Patema Inverted via PayPal. This is currently set up via our newly launched online shop at shop.alltheanime.com. All pledges via our shop will be counted towards the final figures and definitely count towards the stretch goals! We'll keep you all posted on exactly where we are with PayPal so you can monitor the situation too

Update #6
Feedback Is A Many Splendored Thing: In Which We Discuss Merch!



Yesterday we floated the idea of creating a Merch Tier with some ideas of what we would include in said Merch Tier. We got A LOT of valuable feedback from all of you, so thank you so much for that!

One major bit of feedback was instead of an extra tier at a higher amount, the idea of having some of the more popular merchandise ideas (the idea of mugs especially) as an add-on option to backers' pledges. This allows backers to pick and choose what theywant to see added to their reward tiers. This is a great idea and one we're definitely going to be pitching to the licensor when they are back in.

A second nifty idea from the discussion was the inclusion of items such as limited edition prints, artwork, signed artwork etc. Again, all very good suggestions and we've definitely taken it in and will also be pitching this to the licensor shortly!
This kind of backer feedback is great for us! We would rather offer you guys extras you'll actually value and want to keep and treasure as a reward for backing Patema Inverted on Kickstarter. So at least now we have a firmer jumping off point and we'll take it to the licensor to see what we can do!

In the meantime, we are so close to hitting our first stretch goal! It's all very exciting - we hope to be able to move on to the second stretch goal of the film's soundtrack very soon!

Stretch Goal 1 Hit! Onwards, Dear Backers, To Stretch Goal 2!




Well, WELL! Thank you all so much for allowing us to hit the first stretch goal! It's official: you're all getting some pretty amazing, unique, one-of-a-kind, Kickstarter-only, fancy-pants illustration for Patema Inverted's Definitive Edition! WOOOO!! And on a Friday too, which gives me even more of an excuse to have a lovely pint or two tonight

So, have I got some news for you? Well, we've got some but not as big of an update as we'd like. We're just beginning to hear some rumblings back from Japan today, so hopefully we can get moving on some extras, add ons and super goodies early next week. Rest assured, we're on it. We aim to have some good news and tempting add-ons for you guys next week but keep an eye out for details and updates as they happen.

For all you Patema Inverted fans in the UK trying to get to one of the Kids' Club screenings of the film: I know quite a few of you are put out over the fact that the Kids' Club screenings don't allow adults in without children present. Unfortunately, we have no control over this policy. We have spoken to and continue to speak to the cinemas regarding adding more screenings that open it up for everyone else, and will continue to push for this where possible. It also helps if you let your local cinema know that you support this and would love to see it!

Don't forget! Patema Inverted is being screened at the BFI next Friday, May 16th in London at 6:30PM. If you're in or around London, that's a great opportunity to see the film!

It's Been A While - Let's Talk Goodies





Hello again everyone! I know it's been a while and you all thought we were M.I.A but truth is, we've been beavering away trying to lock down some interesting news and updates for you guys. I didn't want to spam you all with updates with little-to-no updating going on, so we held off for a few days. So, seeing as I am posting an update, this must mean I have some news, right? Yep! That's right! Hold on to your hats, because it's a goodun!

Right, a while ago we discussed the idea of a merch tier but it quickly became clear that you'd all rather have add-ons to give you all a bit of flexibility. If we were to add another tier, you all suggested, it'd be great to have a tier that added something really unique: like a really great, quality print for example.

As I mentioned above, we've been pitching these ideas in to the licensor in Japan (back from Golden Week!) and I'm happy to announce we've got approval on some add-ons while we're working on approvals for others! So, what in blazes does this mean?

The mug: The limited edition Kickstarter-only Patema Inverted branded mug will be available as an add-on for fans of the film! We're submitting designs for approval and should hopefully have some final news and some pretty pictures for you tomorrow. So, back to regular updates for y'all!
Add-on price for a mug: £15

Art prints: We've has some positive reaction to the proposal we put forward to the licensor - a high quality A4 giclée print from the film! We're talking a 230gsm fine art print here people! We're still waiting on the final OK on this (really, we're talking approvals and costs) but we should hopefully have it soon enough!
Add-on price for the print: £20

PLEASE NOTE: These merch add-ons however, are UK only I'm afraid. This is due to licensing restrictions that we must abide by. So, if you're interested in the above, please note we will only ship these within the UK. Sorry folks, but this one is out of our hands...

Onwards to the next stretch goal! On that point, we've had a few people ask what will happen if we don't get the rights to the OST. Fear not, dear backers, for we have a pretty sweet contingency lined up in that case of an on-disc variety...

Update #9
We've Got Some Pictures of Add-Ons For You - Happy Friday!


Hello again! As we mentioned yesterday, we've been working hard to secure you guys some pretty sweet merch add-ons as an additional sweetener for backing the Kickstarter campaign. Sadly, due to licensing restrictions, these add-ons will only be shipped within the UK and Ireland. We're sorry about this everyone, alas, our hands are tied on the matter...
Moving on, we've got some pretty pictures for you of what you can get! Below is a mock up (pending final approvals) of the mug we've designed! This is the kind of mug you can expect to get as an add-on:


We're also working on seeing whether or not we can have access to a limited quantity of the Japanese mug - we'll post some pictures next week if it turns out there's stock left we can get ahold of.
Also, you can glimpse what you'll get with the A4 giclée print below! Some people have asked about whether there will be signed prints or not... can't say anything for sure just now, but I will answer in my best guilty politician fashion: I can neither confirm nor deny this. Or at least, for now I can't. Expect some more news on this soon


How do I get ahold of the add-ons?

Simply add either £15 for the mug or £25 for the print (or £40 for them both) onto your pledge. When we issue the backer survey in June we'll as you what add-on's you purchased and just fill in what you paid for there. Simples!
Can I pay via PayPal later after the Kickstarter for the add-ons?

We're looking into how we can do this via our shop. Obviously it would only be open for existing Kickstarter backers but it could be possible depending on how many units we end up printing of each. Downside is this wouldn't count towards the stretch goals though as it's harder to keep track then.

Die Extras sind schon toll, auch wenn ich £15 für ne Tasse ziemlich happig finde ^^. Was die Kosten angeht, da habe ich nichts genaues ausgemacht. Du müsstest einfach mal nachfragen, auch die Versandkosten stehen noch nicht fest, weil wir einfach nicht wissen was die Ultimate Edition am Ende wiegen wird, aber da es sich um einen Shop handelt können wir mit Sicherheit von deren Versandrabatt profitieren.

Anime Limited wird auf jeden Fall 1500 Ultimate Editions produzieren, sollte beim Kickstarter nicht alle verkauft werden, gehen die "Reste" in den Handel z.B. Amazon.co.uk. Allerdings zu einem UVP von £85, was z.b. Amazon dann daraus macht kann keiner sagen, aber da es sich um eine limitierte Anzahl handelt, kann man davon ausgehen das der Rabatt nicht allzu üppig ausfallen wird. Du könntest also warten bis die übrigen UEs bei Amazon.co.uk auftauchen, aber dann zu einem höheren Preis.

Ich hab Time of Eve auch unterstützt und bin mal gespannt wann die endlich damit fertig sind ^^, vielleicht schaffen die das noch bis Spätsommer.

News, Information and Add-Ons - The Hows and Whens



Hey everyone! It's been a while since our last post announcing merch add-ons for our Patema Inverted Kickstarter. So we thought we'd take the time to say hello again and answer some of your questions here.

Merch add-ons: what's confirmed and what can we get?

We announced in our last post that you will soon be able to add to your copy of Patema Inverted with some extra goodies. Said goodies being a pretty sweet Patema Inverted mug and an A4 giclée print of some lovely Patema artwork. In terms of the mug we have two offerings: the first is the design we posted in our previous update (I'll re-post the image below for reference) which is our own work and currently available as an add-on to your pledge for £15.



The second is the official Japanese Patema Inverted mug (of similar design) - however, we're still waiting to hear back on whether or not we can access the stock of mugs, and this is not available as an add-on at this time. We can also confirm that the A4 giclée print is up for grabs as I type! So, if you have a hankering for a high quality and beautiful print, feel free to add this to your pledge for £20.

Excellent! But how do I go about adding any of these merch add-ons to my pledge?

A very good question and one that's been asked by many of you backers out there! For the merch add-ons, we thought long and hard about the easiest, simplest way we could do this. Easiest and simplest way being the following:

• Add the cost of the add-on to your pledge amount (For example, if you're adding the print at £20, add £20 to your pledge amount for a total that includes your reward tier and the add on)
• When the backer survey is sent out after the campaign ends, there will be a relevant section in the survey where you should note any add ons or additional copies you may have added to your pledge amount
• Drop us a private message on our Kickstarter account too if you feel like it. It helps us cross reference so we make sure you get what you backed!

Ok, that's fairly straight forward. What about multiple copies of Patema Inverted (Ultimate Edition / Collector's Edition / Regular version)?

A couple people have asked this and we think the best way to go forward with this is to pretty much follow the steps as listed above. Just add the amount the relevant tier costs onto your pledge then mark it into the backer survey in June . If the backer tier your going for is super limited (for example, the quad tier only has - at the time of this posting - 13 copies left) we'd recommend you upgrade your pledge to that backer tier, and any other copies of the UE or collector's edition costs be added to your pledge with a note in a private message and the relevant sections filled in on the backer tier.

Great, but what if I want 2 or more quad tiers?

In that case, definitely message us and let us know. We'll ensure this is noted and that you get your two or more copies when they are ready. As long as we're notified, we'll make sure you get what you pledge for. ####
I guess that covers all this for today! Don't forget: the mug is £15 and the A4 giclée print is marked down as £20. And yes, this does include postage and packing!

It's The Final Week! We Have Some News & A General Health Check For You



Apologies to everyone for the tardiness of the latest Patema Inverted update! We've been all wrapped up in MCM Comic Con London this past weekend and have only managed a sparse set of replies to comments and a few private messages. I've been going through everything today so you should all get your questions answered soon.

Right, well where are we and what's going on? I've been going through some of the comments and questions so we'll do another State of the Kickstarter update, a round up of news and answering questions you've all been asking. So let's get things going, shall we?

State of the Kickstarter

We are in the FINAL STRETCH! The last week - which I can't bring myself to accept, this campaign seems to have flown by. With 6 days left, we've more than smashed our original target to get a definitive edition of Patema Inverted made, and that's all thanks to you guys! Your support, both in terms of pledges and general shouting about us, helps make this Kickstarter a success and more importantly, it proves that there is a real desire for quality releases of quality anime here in the UK and the rest of Europe. Hopefully, this as well as our previous Kickstarter for Mai Mai Miracle will make this perfectly clear to observers of UK anime fans!
So where are we? We are £8.5k off meeting the OST stretch goal! £8.5k is a lot of money for 6 days but I think we can do this. I think we can smash this! The more we shout out about this, the more likely we are to hit this target. 6 days is a tough ask, but think about that sweet, sweet soundtrack included in your Patema Inverted pledge

What on-disc content has already been confirmed?

Andrew here for a moment! We've cleared basically everything from the Japanese edition - which is to say:

• Audio commentary with Yasuhiro Yoshiura (the director)
• Interview with the Yasuhiro Yoshiura (the director)
• Interview with the voice actors for Age and Patema
• Premiere at Tokyo International Film Festival with director and voice cast
• Original Japanese trailer

NOTE ON THE COMMENTARIES: These will either be mixed against English dub or with nothing behind it (interested to hear backers thoughts). All elements with Japanese speech will of course be subtitled .

But that's not all! We've got some stuff we prepared especially in the UK too...

• Message from Yasuhiro Yoshiura to UK viewers (for before you watch the film)
• Message from Yasuhiro Yoshiura to UK viewers (for AFTER you've watched the film)
• Special interview with Yasuhiro Yoshiura from the UK press day
• UK theatrical trailer

These extras were prepared especially in the UK, the first three were during Yoshiura-san's visit earlier this year and we're super excited to bring you them!
They'll be available on ALL editions - so whether you buy the regular amaray, collector's edition and definitive edition, you're covered! Not too shabby eh?
In this bonus interview, Yoshiura-san discusses the film and even points out a few interesting things to keep an eye out for when watching the film.

Want to see Patema Inverted in a cinema near you but it's not listed yet?

A lot of you have been pretty vocal about wanting to get to a screening of Patema Inverted in a cinema near you. Quite a few have been a bit put out by the fact that a lot of the screenings of the film have been family or kids-only affairs. We hear you and understand your frustration - alas we can only book in to cinemas where there is enough demand as deemed by the screens themselves. If only there were something fans could do....
Ah! But now there is! The recently launched OurScreen is a UK project that allows fans of films to lobby cinemas to get a screening of particular films shown at their local cinema. It's a grassroots support network that allows cinemas to see just how much local support there is in real numbers and can make programming decisions based on that! It's a brilliant initiative and one that we fully support.

To prove that, we'll be adding Patema Inverted to the site tomorrow and encourage each and everyone of you interested in seeing Patema Inverted in the cinema to make your voices heard! Yasuhiro Yoshiura Talks About Patema Inverted!


As mentioned yesterday, we have an exciting content edition to our Patema Inverted release in the form of an interview with Yoshiura-san himself! This was filmed when he was in the UK promoting the release of the film in and he kindly sat down to talk to us about it. We also hinted that we'd share a clip with you all today so here it is! Yasuhiro Yoshiura recorded a greeting for Patema Inverted viewers and, in this clip, points out a few things you should note when watching the film.

Whether you've already seen this film or not, it's well worth paying attention to his hints and tips... there were a few things I had missed the first time I saw it

You Wanted A Soundtrack? You Got A Soundtrack! And Other News

We are very happy to confirm that we've gotten final approval/sign off for the Patema Inverted soundtrack! We were confident we would, hence offering it as a stretch goal, but until we get final sign off, we tend to err on the side of caution.
Well caution no more! If we hit that £40,000 target we can officially and without hesitation confirm that the Patema Inverted soundtrack will be made available to Kickstarter backers. And yes, we will count any PayPal backers that have pledged via our site - which so far is sitting at £465 bring us to a grand total of £33,955. So, we've got 4 days left, with about £6,000 to go - which is a big ask but I know we can do it! So, spread the word and shout it from the rooftops: Patema Inverted will have the soundtrack if we hit our second stretch goal. Let's do this!

PLEASE NOTE: The agreement for the soundtrack means that it will only be included in the Definitive Edition.

In other news, as mentioned previously we discussed how many fans were dismayed to find themselves unable to go to some Patema Inverted screenings near them - mostly due to the fact that they were kids or family-only screenings. To help generate grassroots support for local screenings, we've added Patema Inverted to the listings on OurScreen! OurScreen is a great initiative that helps organise and mobilise audiences to help bring films to local screens - by proving to cinemas that there is a guaranteed minimum number of people interested in the film.

How does this work and how can I get Patema Inverted in my local cinema?

It's easy! Just follow these steps:

• Go to Ourscreen.com and register your details
• Search for Patema Inverted to get it listed
• Select a cinema
• It'll tell you how many tickets must be sold in order to guarantee a screening
• Message us and tell us! We'll put out a sponsored post to push the screening in your local area. We'll help push and promote the screening for you.
• That's it!

3 Days to Go And Even MORE News!

I know I've already done an update but today is a day full of news! And it's some exciting news to! In this, the final days of the Kickstarter, we are adding a new, exciting tier: a unique, one-of-a-kind giclée print signed by Yasuhiro Yoshiura himself! The A4 giclée print will be the image above and a different design from the giclée print listed as an add-on.

What does this package include and at what cost?

Glad you asked! This tier will include the following:

• The definitive edition of Patema Inverted
• Everything in the definitive edition tier, including rigid case, replica letter from Lagos, 136 page official design works translated into English, Collector's Edition package, and pamphlet translated from the Japanese release. Plus digital wallpaper and digital press book written by Jonathan Clements.
• The signed print by director Yasuhiro Yoshiura

Wow! Those signed giclée prints went superfast last night! Congratulations to all of you who managed to snag a copy - you lucky ducks
Well, with only a few more days to go (the countdown clock is now in hours! EEEEEP!) I thought I'd update you all on what's happening, what targets we need to meet for the OST (in real numbers) and what we're adding to the collections. So here, in no particular order, is some information.

Original short episode book - we've got it! And so will you.

We have managed to get our hands on the Patema Inverted original short episode book and will be including it in every Collector's and Definitive/Ultimate Edition! It's an 80 page book including images from the film and, of course the story. In fact, it is so dense a book that the translation job for it will be one of the most expensive translations we've ever done! It'll be worth it though, as it's a great accompaniment to the collection. Want to know what it's like? Check out the images at the end of this post!

Some exciting dub news...

This morning we had a wee listen of the upcoming English dub and I must admit, it's really VERY good! So whether you're a sub die hard, lover of dubs or just somewhat flexible, I think you'll really enjoy the English dub. It fits well with the film and with the original Japanese cast I think you'll all be pretty happy.
We're waiting on final approval of the dub by the licensor in Japan, but once we have it we'll be posting a 5 minute video for you all to have a gander at. I really enjoyed the snippet we got and am very excited to see the rest of the film's dub

Exciting packaging news for the definitive edition!

We have been speaking to the manufacturer of the Patema Inverted packaging looking at cool alternatives to house the definitive edition and we're pretty excited about some of the options that have been presented! So it's looking like all you definitive edition owners will be getting special bespoke packaging for this tier - at no extra cost! It's wonderful when a plan comes together...

How many copies of Patema Inverted definitive edition do we need to sell to hit the OST target?

So, where are we on hitting the OST? Well including the amount pledged via PayPal - which, at the time of this writing stands at £627 - the total is now £35,533! That means we're £4,467 off from hitting that soundtrack stretch goal. That translates to 112 Definitive Editions or 204 Collector's Editions. With the last few days upon us, it may be tough but we could hit this target! Help us spread the word! The soundtrack is there to be grabbed.

After a few technical issues yesterday, it looks like things are up and running now though with the first couple of OurScreen campaigns now live! The first was set up by Peter Shillito for a screening at the Liverpool FACT. Do you live in or around Liverpool and fancy seeing the film on the big screen?
