Seventeen: 17sai Tabidachi no Futari - "Age 17 - Journey of two people"), aka Seventeen is a 2003 Japanese coming-of-age drama directed by Shinichiro Sawai. The film stars Miki Fujimoto and Rika Ishikawa, two former members of the J-pop group Morning Musume, as teenagers who befriend each other as they struggle to come to terms with the troubles in their personal lives.
Seventeen, an age that friendship plays an important role in our life. Two girls at seventeen, Maiko, who wants to become a picture-book writer and Lisa, who is a misbehaved child living with her mother. Both of them live hard to deal with their dreams and families. One day, they met and formed a mutual understanding friendship.
