After the earlier announcement of both Frank Cho (Shanna, Liberty Meadows, Ultimates) and Dave Gibbons (Watchmen, Martha Washington) to our 20th anniversary show in Gent, Belgium, we are now pleased to introduce artist Brandon Peterson as a guest of our venue.


Brandon Peterson is known for his hyper detailed artwork and intricate line work. He started making waves on Marvel's "X-Cutioner's Song" crossover and later left Marvel for Top Cow pencilling the ongoing title Codename: Strykeforce, Medieval Spawn/Witchblade miniseries as well as his own The Darkness' spinoff Arcanum. In '99 he returned to Marvel where he is primarily involved in the Ultimate universe on titles like Ultimate X-Men, Ultimate Extinction and the mini-series Ultimate Vision, but also the miniseries Strange and coverwork on titles like War of Kings, Nova, Kingbreaker and Incredible Hulk. Brandon was also VP of Special Projects and Art Director of the now defunct CrossGen Comics, where he worked on titles like Mystic and Chimera.

"Having such an amazing artist as well as an amazing colorartist is a privilege to us", said Emmanuel van Melkebeke, F.A.C.T.S. Convention Director. "Brandon is an artist who uses such amazing details in his linework as well as his coloring style making him a force to be reckoned with in the business! I can't wait to meet him!"

Multiple award-winning creator Frank Cho is a comic book superstar, famous for his detailed drawings in his own signature series Liberty Meadows and Jungle Girl, as well as his Marvel projects Shanna, Mighty Avengers, Hulk, Ultimate Comics New Ultimates.

Multiple award-winning creator Dave Gibbons is the person who visualized Alan Moore's words via Watchmen, before it was transformed into a movie last year. Other credits to his amazing body of work are also Dr. Who, The Rann/Thanagar War for DC Comics and the story of Martha Washington, serialized and published by Dark Horse.

F.A.C.T.S Comicon is the signature pop culture event of the Benelux, presenting guests and programming to cater for the top segments of the comics, anime, sci-fi, film, TV, and gaming industries.

Entering its 20th anniversary year, F.A.C.T.S. is expected to draw over 14,000+ attendees to its October 23-24, 2010 convention held at the Gent Flanders Expo Convention Center located in Gent, Belgium.

The show will sport 12,000 square metres (3 halls) and will host dealers of toys, comics, movie merchandise, fantasy merchandise, manga and will see 400+ cosplayers and an entire fanvillage, as well as loads of surprises, brighten up the already amazing venue!

Anne Stokes has worked as a freelance illustrator and produced art for many clients in the games industry, including illustrations for Wizards of the Coast's Dungeon and Dragons rule books and miniatures.

"It is just a thrill to have the F (Fantasy) in F.A.C.T.S. envisioned in such a renowned fantasy artist as UK-based Anne Stokes", said Emmanuel van Melkebeke, F.A.C.T.S. Convention Director. "Her imagery of dragons and especially gothic fairies are haunting!"

F.A.C.T.S. 2010 - the biggest science fiction, fantasy, anime & comics convention in the Benelux - will take place on October 23rd & 24th 2010, once again in FLANDERS EXPO, Ghent, Belgium.

The 20th edition of FACTS will be a blast!
Growing with another whopping 50 % compared to last year, we now cover more than 12.000 m2. In that vast space you'll be able to discover the following areas:

DEALERS ZONE.
More than 150 dealers occupying over a kilometer of dealer tables. You'll find a vast range of goodies (DVD's, toys, comics, manga, anime, collectibles, posters, books, overstock, rare items, etc.) sold by individuals, shops, producers, fanclubs and more. Whether you need that final Holy Grail to complete your collection or bargain hunting is your hobby, FACTS 2010 is the place to be!

ACTORS AREA.
Have we got a fantastic line up for you! We're indeed extremely proud to welcome top actors and actresses from the likes of KRISTANNA LOKEN (the female Terminator who kicked Schwarzenegger's butt in Terminator 3, but also known for Painkiller Jane, the L-Word & Bloodrayne), BILLY DEE WILLIAMS (alias Lando Carlissian in The Empire strikes back & Return of the Jedi); DIRK BENEDICT & DWIGHT SCHULTZ (Face & Murdock from the cult tv-series The A-Team, but who also starred individually in series like Battlestar Galactica & Star Trek: the Next Generation); ROBERT PICARDO (an Emmy nominated actor known for his starring roles in Stargate, Castle and Star Trek: Voyager), cult favorite JEWEL STAITE (Firefly, Stargate), horror icon DOUG BRADLEY (Pinhead himself!); NOAH HATHAWAY (Boxey in (the old series of) Battlestar Galactica and starring as Atreyu in The NeverEnding Story). - Star Wars acting sessions at Power Wars booth
- Larp-event in the Games Room
- Course Elfish writing at the Elanor booth
- and many more!

The Elanor booth will feature schmink and hairdressing sessions at different times (10-12, 14-15, 16-17). A great way to discover LOTR!

STAGE.
The stage will once again host our cos' play competition. We now have even more space so everyone is sure to get a great view on the very best cos' players around. The cos' play competition will start on both days at 2 PM. Be sure not to miss this unique event!

GAME ZONE.
Gamers, beware! FACTS 2010 will host a huge Game Zone with loads of consoles, competitions, special prices and much much more.

To start off with, the Game Zone will feature booths from top industry names like Sony PlayStation, Nintendo, SEGA, Ubisoft, Microsoft and Square-Enix! Furthermore, Eurogamer and Pushstart will both offer you the possibility to play on dozens of consoles and PC's all throughout the weekend.

You'll be able to play absolute topgames like Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (multiplayer version!); Michael Jackson The Experience; Just Dance II; Vanguish; Starcraft II (3D); Gran Turismo 5 (3D); Professor Layton and The Unwound Future; Shaun White Skateboarding (3D) and many more. All these games will be fully playable!

Sony PlayStation will demonstrate its latest PlayStation Move games and in their 3D corner you can experience 3D for yourself. There will a Dance Dance Revolution booth with even an exclusive preview of the new Kinect DDR!

But that's not all! Ubisoft will organise goodie hunts, you'll get a free DS update for Dragon Quest IX (so make sure to bring your DS along to the Nintendo booth!), Nintendo will offer some great Mario prices, Sony will hand out flyers to win exclusive GT5 prices and much much more!
