Manga creator
Natsuki Takaya (
Fruits Basket,
Tsubasa: Those With Wings, Hoshi wa Utau)
wrote on her blog on Tuesday that she will be taking an extended hiatus from her Liselotte to Majo no Mori (
Liselotte and Witch's Forest) manga to recover from an illness. Takaya noted that her current illness is not a relapse of the cerebral nerves illness she suffered while she was drawing Fruits Basket. That illness had caused her to take a one-year break from the series.
Takaya sincerely apologized for causing worry to those involved, her family, and "most importantly," her fans. She also apologized to the readers of Liselotte to Majo no Mori, and added that at this time she cannot say for sure when she will be returning to drawing manga. Takaya wrote that she will focus first on resting, and will think about when the day will come when she can return to her fans.
